How a payment is split
Who gets what from a gift, a subscription, pay-per-view, a View Pass or an NFT, and how to check any payment yourself on Suiscan.
Every payment on NETSTREAM is made in USDC and split by a contract on the Sui blockchain, in the same transaction the viewer pays. NETSTREAM never holds a creator's share.

Who gets what
| Payment | Creator | NETSTREAM | Referrals and holder pools |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gift | 80% | 16% | 4% |
| Subscription | 80% | 16% | 4% |
| Pay-per-view | 80% | 16% | 4% |
| View Pass | — | 100% | — |
| Silver or Gold NFT | — | 35% | 50% referrals · 15% holder pools |
- Gifts, subscriptions and pay-per-view all use the same split.
- The View Pass goes entirely to NETSTREAM. Creators get no share of it.
- A Watch-to-Earn reward goes 100% to the viewer. It comes from a pool the creator put on their own stream.
Where the 4% goes
The 4% follows the creator who receives the money, not the person paying. It is shared out the same way as an NFT sale:
- half of it to the people who invited that creator, up to five levels (see Referrals);
- 10% of it to the Gold holders' pool and 5% to the Silver holders' pool (see Monthly NFT rewards);
- the rest to NETSTREAM.
If a referral level is empty, its share goes to NETSTREAM. If the creator isn't in the referral system, the whole 4% does.
A $10 gift, end to end: $8.00 to the creator, $1.60 to NETSTREAM, and $0.40 shared out as above.
Straight to the creator's wallet
The contract sends the creator's 80% to the creator's own wallet in the same transaction as the payment. There's nothing to request and nothing to wait for, and no one can hold it back. The 80 / 16 / 4 split is fixed in the contract.
Check a payment on Suiscan
Every payment is a public transaction. You can open it on Suiscan, the Sui blockchain explorer, from these places:
- Receipt — on the message that confirms a gift you sent.
- Dashboard → Earnings → Recent activity — the small link beside each amount (creators).
- Check — beside each payment in a creator's earnings details, when they show their earnings badge.
- TX — beside each monthly reward in Rewards → Claim history.
Suiscan shows whether the transaction succeeded, when it happened, and every USDC amount that moved: what left the payer's wallet, the creator's 80% and the other shares.
Network fees are small amounts of SUI paid to the Sui network, not to NETSTREAM. The full table, and what NETSTREAM's admin can and can't change, is on the Trust page.
