Watching

Free preview and View Pass

How long you can watch a free stream for free, what the $1 View Pass opens, and who never needs one.

Watching on NETSTREAM needs a sign-in — free streams too. Signing in is free. The short muted previews on the stream cards are the only thing that plays without it. When you are not signed in, the player shows Sign in to watch with a Connect wallet button. See Sign in.

Your free preview

Every free stream gives you 5 minutes, live and its replay together. A countdown, for example Free preview · 4:59 left, shows in the corner of the player (on a phone's full-screen live view, next to LIVE at the top).

The minutes start the first time you open that stream, and reloading the page does not start them again. Each free stream has its own 5 minutes.

The View Pass

When the 5 minutes are up, a ticket takes the player's place: Your free preview is up. A View Pass costs $1 in USDC and opens every free live stream and replay for 24 hours.

  1. Press Get a View Pass · $1.
  2. Confirm the payment in your wallet, if it asks.
  3. The stream plays again — and so does every other free stream, until the pass runs out.

The pass belongs to your wallet: sign in with the same wallet on another device and it works there too. It needs no identity check. The $1 goes to NETSTREAM, not to the creator.

Who never needs one

  • The creator, on their own stream.
  • NETSTREAM NFT holders.
  • A creator's subscribers, on that creator's streams.
  • Everyone signed in, while a battle is on a live stream — battles are always free to watch. See Watching a battle.

The View Pass opens free streams only. Pay-per-view, subscribers-only and members-only streams have their own lock: see Pay-per-view and subscriptions.

When it doesn't work

  • Not enough in your wallet. You need $1 in USDC and a little SUI for the network fee (about $0.01). The message has an Add money button. See Add money.
  • "Paid — your pass is being saved." The payment went through but is not saved yet. The pass opens the next time you open a stream. You are not charged twice.
  • "Couldn't check your View Pass." Press Try again. If you already have a pass, it is still yours.
